A Vision, A Mission, A Dream

- If you want to go fast, go alone; if you want to go far, go together- African Proverb

Cheryl Nichols graduated from San Diego State University with a Bachelor of Arts in
Psychology. She earned a Masters of Arts in Rehabilitation, from California State University San Bernardino. Cheryl has a Pupil Personnel Services Credential in School Psychology from California State University San Bernardino working as a District Psychologist since 2003.

The ”EJ” in EJ&;C consulting is inspired from Erma Jean Nichols, Cheryl’s mother, a retired Teacher, School Educator, Principal, and Child Welfare and Attendance Administrator for 41 years. This advocacy work comes from a place of wanting the best for students and families.

The special education system can be overwhelming, complicated, and intimidating for a parent or guardian to maneuver. My goal is to assist, guide, and educate the family to acquire the most optimal result for the student. Cheryl’s mother would say “ education is a calling”, and from these words working with children was birth inside her.

Cheryl has worked with children and families her entire career. She worked with people with disabilities at the Inland Regional Center for 7 years as a Consumer Services Coordinator. This position is responsible for coordinating the services and supports that are available to persons with developmental disabilities and their families in accordance with the Lanterman Developmental Disabilities Services Act.

Then the education tugged at her heart. Cheryl began her career as a district psychologist where she applied her expertise in mental health, learning, and behavior, to help children and youth succeed academically, socially, behaviorally, and
emotionally. School psychologist partner with families, teachers, school administrators, and other professionals to create safe, healthy, and supportive learning environments that strengthen connections between home, school, and the community.

As a professional advocate, Cheryl adheres to the laws and ethics of Special Education in each state of the Union as well as the school district where the student resides.
Chery is committed to serving the student with commitment, empathy, and dedication for a successful outcome.
